Overload weekend was a time and a half. Great friendships were made. We're going out with Overload again but this time with RIGHT IDEA and ALERT. It will be a straight edge weekend indeed. More details for that coming soon. We're recording the rest of our 7" at the end of the month with our man, Gifted. To hear the new songs we have on our plate so far, come to these shows.

fall is here.

We've joined the Dead End Records crew. They will graciously be putting out a 7" for us in early 2008. Thanks a lot to Derek for the oppurtunity.

We'll be recording 2 new songs to put on a cd-r to bring to Cleveland with us in November. It'll be 2 new ones, a demo song, and maybe a cover. We're not sure yet.

Straight edge.
Positive change.

First and foremost:
Right Idea's record release was fucking awesome. Thanks to the Mads Minds dudes for the gear, Nick/Hope This Helps for getting at us, Jeff Hess for being the reason people have even heard our name in Cleveland, and the dudes that gave us money for tapes to get home! We can not fucking wait to come back to Ohio! See you dudes in November.

10/10 we played in Lansing, but I left a little early before the show to meet up with the Dragtown dudes to skate the park out there. Crucial times. Dragtown and Louder Than Bombs were great. We got the best reaction we've ever had so far in our 5-show career. Thanks to everyone. Jon Crays took a couple photos for us, which can be found on the Face Reality myspace. KT/Safe In Sound booking really helped us out and we can't wait to come back and play a little later in the year.

We're almost outta tapes and we're basically all out of cd's! So if you need one, contact us somehow and we'll get one to you ASAP!

We've been writing a few new songs that are almost done and will hopefully at least be on a cd-r by our Cleveland weekend in November with All Hype and Overload. We'll hopefully have shirts by then too. We just need a design!

Until November... Listen to the Free Spirit, Clearsight, and Rearranged demos while you patiently wait for your Right Idea pre-orders. You know I am! All Hype also posted songs from their side of the Under Anchor split coming out! Heavy.

Stay tuned for the Positive Change.

I remember buying open hearts and clear minds from a thrift store just because it was 97 cents and the cover looked cool back in 2002, in 7 years of being a band they only got to put out one full length and two 7"s. This band deserved all the hype they got, they were the definition of a hardcore youth crew band, i wish there was more recorded material from this band before they go, I'm going to miss them, i'm already hoping for a reunion show. haha, R.I.P.

After hours upon hours of slaving in front of this record player, I finally have all the tapes done. They're available for order. See our myspace page for ordering info. We did a friends press that are all gone that were out of 25 and a normal press of 75. Pick one up at a show or paypal Casey for one.

There is a Face Reality review in the new There's Nothing Like It zine (issue #3). Andrew Lee is an impeccable dude.

New songs are being written, we hope for a new release early 2009.

On October 2nd, an honorable gig will be taking place at Refuge Skateboardshop featuring LEWD ACTS, Grand Rapids thrashers Positive Noise, Delta City bro dogs All Hype, and Face Reality. More deets to come.

Coming up in November is a Clevo weekend with Face Reality, All Hype, and OVERLOAD. I could not be more excited. It's going to be taking place the weekend before thanksgiving. We're going to Cleveland friday, Grand Rapids saturday, and Romeo sunday. Talk about a gig fest. Again, more deets to come.

Just an update on what's going on at Face Reality HQ. Shirts soon? Sweaters? Who knows? Can I kick it? Yes you can.

Yo, I couldn't figure out how to put songs up on this so I went ahead and put the last two songs of the demo on the My Space that we have. Check it out. Thanks to Hess/Right Idea for the kind words. Also thanks to Chris Trestain for working with us. We're ordering tapes soon and then all we have to do is transfer the songs onto the tapes and print out covers. We're doing a limited cover too, so if you're interested, let one of us know and we'll try and set one aside.
Also, our good friends and guitar player's other band, All Hype, just left for tour today. They just got their 7"s in and they are hand numbered out of 60, although there is only 50 according to Ryan Felton. Be sure to pick one up and see them on tour. See you next month, buds.

That's all for now.

First gig recap.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone that came to the show we played on Sunday (6/8/8) at Refuge. Biggest thanks to Mad Minds and their bros from Cleveland for coming and having fun on a semi-short notice. Thanks to Red Handed for stopping here on tour... Seriously check this band out if they come to your area on this tour... Also thanks to the major storm that busted through for not taking us all.

Apologies for the show starting late, I did not know the P. A. was fucked up and it called for some serious last minute hard work (major props to Ryan Felton and Tim Maze).

We played first... Obviously. I'm not too sure about how we sounded, but it felt like we played very tight for a first show. There was some footage I believe, that is not up yet. We played this song (second of the two).

Second was Dragtown. This band is the future of Michigan hardcore. I can not say enough about them. Do yourself and check them out. They played a couple goodies such as this and this.

Next was Cleveland's Mad Minds. I had the pleasure of seeing this band's first show in Cleveland in early January, and I had to get them on this show after I heard the Red Handed show in Clevo fell through. Cool Life's Blood cover as well as this one. Awesome, thankful guys and I would love to see/gig with them again.

Last was Red Handed. Bummed most people left before they got on, but it was a Sunday night and that must be understood. This band rips, was a ton of fun. Goofy moshing all around. They could not be more understanding and thankful for everything.

Shout outs to Randy Staat, Ryan Coleman, Jeff Hess for snoozing his way out of this one, Dr. L of Bridge 9 fame, Ryan Felton, Edge Master Ken, and Refuge for letting us do this.

4 song demo next week? I'm not promising anything but just a warning.

Straight edge.

First show update

Dragtown has been added to our first gig. A few young punks who bust out some Cro-Mags-influenced jams. The price has also been upped to $7. Gotta pay two bands who drove a long time to play and gas is at over $4 a gallon. Sorry!

Lots of good stuff happening with Face Reality right now.

Some news that we are looking forward to: Clevo's youth crew moshers, Right Idea, have a new 12" ep up for pre-order at React! Records. Pre-order that boy here. Be a real hardcore kid and pre-order all 3 colors! I know I did! Hopefully we get to play with these dudes soon since they're not that far out of Michigan.

Other stuff: Our first show is next Sunday, June 8th with Red Handed from California and Mad Minds from Cleveland at Refuge Skate Shop in Dearborn. It doesn't look like we'll have our demo ready by then but come out and get wild anyways. It's 5 bucks on a Sunday evening, what else do you have to do?

Straight Edge.

Daniel Albright Benefit show.

For those of you who knew Danny, you know that he had the biggest heart and a one-of-a-kind personality. It does not even need to be said that he will be sorely missed. This Saturday is a solid show of Danny's favorite Detroit bands playing for him one last time. He really would have loved this flyer. Even if you don't know Danny, come to this show to support the cause. I believe all of the money for this show is going to Danny's family. Here's to you...
RIP Danny... "The Power Is Yours"
